SCRIPTURA PRESENTS ONE-MAN DRAMATIC PORTRAYALS OF THE SCRIPTURES

Marquis
Laughlin is an actor whose life's work is enabling his
audiences to hear, see, and feel the God of the Bible, through the
words of the Bible. His uniquely compelling dramatic solo-scripture
presentations include Genesis, Ecclesiastes, Daniel, John's Gospel,
and Revelation, and have been presented all over the world. Recent
works include Mark's Gospel at the Forum of Trajan in Rome Italy,
and John's Gospel at the Hampton Court Mid-Summer Festival in Hereford
England.
Mr. Laughlin
is a distinguished Staley Lecturer and maintains an active touring
schedule of theaters, conferences, colleges, and houses of worship.
His voice can be heard as the narrator for Tyndale Publishing's
Illumina, the first interactive fully animated Bible, being
introduced this fall on DVD, and Good News Publishers brand new
English Standard Version Bible, an audio-book also due out
this year. He also provides the narration for The Scriptorium: Center
for Biblical Antquities, a thematic museum that chronicles the history
of the Bible, at The Holy Land Experience in Orlando, Florida.
He is the
Program Coordinator for Sola Scriptura, a ministry devoted to the
accuracy, authenticity, and authority of Scripture, located at the
Holy Land Experience, where his one-man performances of the Bible
can be seen regularly.
The stories
of the Bible first came to life for Marquis at the age of five in
the small country town of Gig Harbor, Washington where he was raised.
One day while sitting in the waiting room of the family dentist,
his mother opened a children' s book called "Bible Stories"
and began reading to him. Noticing his fascination with the characters
and scenes, she purchased the set, and a Sunday night tradition
was born.
Years later,
a high school speech coach persuaded him to take up Dramatic Interpretation.
Marquis discovered a unique ability to make text and stories come
alive. He went on to win four state championships and compete nationally.
After receiving formal training at Washington State University's
Dramatic Arts Program, he developed a career in Los Angeles. Television
roles include the PBS series "Life & Times", United
Artists "Coming Attractions", and Paramount Studios "Prime
Reality" programs. In 1987 he dedicated himself to presenting
the Scriptures exclusively.

seven carefully selected events, to give convincing proof that Jesus

REVELATION:
